About Old Colony Hospice
Old Colony Hospice is a non-profit organization providing hospice and palliative care in 45 cities and towns throughout southeastern Massachusetts. Over the last 35 years our team of registered nurses, social workers, counselors, hospice aides, nutritional consultants, and patient volunteers have compassionately cared for thousands of individuals and their loved ones coping with terminal illnesses and end of life needs while preserving dignity and quality of life.
The quote below best reflects the way families feel about the experience they have when they entrust us to care for their loved ones. Maureen's reflection tells our story the best.
“I’ve sat down to compose this note several times and it seems to understate the sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff that I call our lifeline in caring for my mom. The caring, compassion, knowledge, respect, and patience could never be completely understood unless you have experienced the support of Old Colony Hospice workers. Everyone arrived with uplifting smiles and confidence that immediately let us take a deep breath knowing we would be able to achieve the family’s desires to keep mom and dad at home together and comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As I’ve told so many of you already, dad thinks your organization is the answer to everyone’s problem and I know you were our lifeline!”
~ Maureen, daughter of a patient
